Haut Marin

For generations, the Jegerlehner and Prataviera families have been producing exceptional wines separately. Through marriage, their love flowed into making wine. Wines as we hoped and expected to find in the Côtes de Gascogne.

Appellation Gascogne
This domaine is located in the heart of Armagnac on the famous Via Podiensis, a road that pilgrims have walked for centuries on their way to Santiago de Compostela. This 120-hectare vineyard is owned by two families and is surrounded by the beautiful landscape that is so typical of Gascony. It is located on centuries-old terroir that explains the many fossils that we encounter. White, crystal-clear, lively wines are made here from Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Sauvignon. And very elegant red wines from Merlot and Cabernet.

Passionate third generation
The story began in 1920 when Jean Francois Morel, a Swiss winemaker, settled in Gascony. In 1960 the first wine cellar was a fact and the vineyard was expanded, but the baton was really picked up by the passionate Elisabeth, the current winemaker and oenologist. The daughter of the third generation married Henry Prataviera and so two families make deliciously digestible and affordable wines. In 2003 Elisabeth, together with her brother Philipe, released the first bottles with the frivolous ‘connoisseur’ labels. In these wines the unique terroir speaks. So much so that we are happy to sell these wines to you.
