Stern
In 1952, Josef Stern bought his first vineyard. He was a certified wood cooper and built wooden barrels and crates. In addition to growing wine grapes, he also started distilling schnapps.
From father to son
In 1980, son Wolfgang took over the company. He modernized it and thus laid the foundation for high-quality wines. The estate has 10 hectares of vineyards on varied, sandy loess soils with a light lime content. Wolfgang is now at the helm with his son Dominic. Dominic is a certified technician in Viticulture and Oenology. He gained his practical experience in the Palatinate, South Africa and the Wachau. Both attach great importance to environmentally friendly and quality-conscious work in the vineyard, with the motto: less is often more!
