Vineyard	Grapes from the oldest vineyards of Rechner Herrenberg, planted before 1940. These "Alte Reben" (old vines) have a low but delicate and refined yield. The soil consists of shale and grauwacke on a steep sunny slope.
Harvest	Selective manual harvesting
Vinification	Controlled temperature fermentation of the destemmed grapes in contact with the skins for 18 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and refinement in oak barrels.
Wood education	Malolactic fermentation and aging in new barriques for 16 months.
