Overview

The name “Herrenberg” refers to the lords of Saffenburg, who owned the town of Rech and who planted their vineyards in this precious location.

Vineyard	The vineyard is located under the rocky area of the Schwedenkopf and is terraced, facing south with a slope of up to 60°. The soil is made up of decomposed slate.
Harvest	Selective manual harvesting.
Vinification	21 day fermentation. Followed by malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels.
Wood education	The wine matures for 19 months in new oak barrels.
Taste impression	Spicy, rich in fruit, with a fine minerality and a lot of power.
