| Vineyard | The V.D.P. Grosse Lage 'Hochheimer Kirchenstück' lies at the foot of the Taunus in the south, in the wide Rhine-Main Plain. This means the sun shines and warms it all day long. The soil consists primarily of heavy loess loam and clay marl with a deep, water-retaining subsoil. To the north, the town of Hochheim protects the vineyard from the wind. The vineyard is situated 100 to 120 meters above sea level and is moderately steep with a gradient of 30 percent. |
