Overview
Slightly creamy on the palate, although the typical Atlantic salinity emerges.
World of Fine Wine adds a nice review: "The El Palomar vineyard in Zarate is the oldest in the family and among the oldest in Rías Baixas. The 150-year-old roots run through the granite soil. Palomar is a small parcel that does not exceed half hectare. It is the only Zarate wine produced in foudres, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation - unusual for Rías Baixas wines - and is aged on the lees. The 2020 has a light hint of hazelnut with a touch of apricot. The beginning is quite full-bodied and intense and silky on the palate. Spices, cumin and white pepper. It closes with an elegant and persistent saline finish.
