Vineyard The Sonnenberg, which extends over 26 hectares in Bad Neuenahr, belongs to the lower area of ​​the Ahr, where the normally narrow valley widens and the slopes become a little gentler. The soil is composed of greywacke, slate mixed with clay and loess.
Harvest Selective manual harvest.
Vinification The destemmed grapes undergo a temperature-controlled fermentation for 17 days with the skins. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and refinement in oak barrels.
Wood education Malolactic fermentation and aging in new barriques for a period of 18 months.
