Grape varieties 100% Riesling
Vineyard Achleiten: a 12th-century terraced vineyard near Weissenkirchen. In the upper part, silicate-rich gneiss soil predominates. Amphibolite rock is also present in the lower parts.
Harvest After a warm May and a fairly cool June, flowering was early. The summer months were blessed with abundant rainfall. The months of September and October were exceptionally sunny, which allowed us to obtain healthy, late hand-harvested grapes, ensuring an excellent harvest. Perfect maturation, well balanced and great ripening potential.
Vinification After 8 hours of maceration the grapes are delicately pressed. Fermentation takes place in large foudres.
